Diane is a beloved TapUK regular, having been part of our community since the second ever TapUK festival. Once crowned one of Europe’s fastest tappers and the world’s best female solo tap dancer, Diane enjoyed a glittering career before stepping back from the spotlight. We’re lucky enough that she comes out of retirement specially for Tappers, bringing her signature sparkle (and just a touch of bonkers) to our festival year after year.

With her infectious energy, lightning-fast feet and warm, encouraging teaching style, Diane’s workshops are always a highlight of the weekend. Whether you’re a new face or a long-time fan, dancing with Diane is a chance to learn from a true legend and to fall in love with tap all over again.

Lee is another TapUK favourite and long-time regular, having been part of the family since the early days. He’s loved for his high energy classes that keep you on your toes - quite literally! Based in Portsmouth, Lee has been inspiring dancers for years, teaching adult and advanced tap across Hampshire and at Southampton University.

​

With a reputation for precision and enthusiasm, Lee combines professional level technique with a fun, welcoming approach that dancers of all levels love. Expect fast footwork, sharp rhythms and plenty of encouragement as he pushes you to perfect those steps – just one more time! Whether you’re new to tap or a seasoned shuffler, Lee’s sessions are guaranteed to get you smiling, sweating, and tapping your socks off.

Jason Di Mascio is a hugely respected tap dancer and teacher, and a welcome favourite at Tappers events. A former West End performer, Jason’s credits include 42nd Street, Ziegfeld, Anything Goes, Me & My Girl and Crazy For You, alongside TV appearances at the Royal Variety Show and Olivier Awards. After a glittering stage career, Jason now focuses on teaching and we’re thrilled for him to bring his expertise and passion to TapUK.

Formerly Head of Tap Faculty Development and now a Deputy Lead Examiner for the ISTD, Jason combines technical precision with creative flair. His workshops are clear, musical and full of encouragement, offering dancers of all levels the chance to learn from one of the best. Whether you’re refining your rudiments or tackling advanced choreography, Jason’s sessions will leave you inspired, confident and ready to dance.

Connor Hughes made his TapUK debut in 2025 and was an instant hit with dancers of all levels. A professional performer and teacher, Connor has appeared in major productions including Singin’ in the Rain, Top Hat, 42nd Street and White Christmas. He also runs The Tap Fix; popular intermediate and advanced tap classes at Pineapple Dance Studios, known for their rhythm-driven choreography and supportive, upbeat atmosphere.

Connor’s teaching style is clear, musical and full of encouragement, with a strong focus on performance and confidence – even if it’s wrong but strong! His sessions are packed with groove, precision and good vibes, and we’re delighted to welcome him back by popular demand for TapUK 2026. If you’re looking for a class that will challenge, inspire and leave you smiling, Connor’s your man.

Jo Summerfield is a long-standing part of the Tappers community and the founder of JS Dance Academy in Hitchin, where she’s been inspiring dancers of all ages for many years. With a strong background in teaching and choreography, Jo is known for her fun, approachable style that makes every dancer feel at home whether they’re beginners or more experienced dancers.

We’re delighted that Jo is returning to TapUK 2026, bringing her signature energy and creativity back to the floor. Her workshops are full of laughs, not least thanks to her famously fun step names – including classics like ‘the thingy’ and ‘the extended thingy’! From upbeat tap sessions to her much-loved FitSteps, ballet and fusion classes, Jo’s all about building confidence, having fun, and celebrating the joy of dance.

Susan Harvey (née Bishop) has been part of the TapUK story since the very beginning, having taught at the first festival back in 1995. With a Master’s in Dance Science and Education and decades of teaching experience across the UK, Susan has inspired generations of dancers through her thoughtful, intelligent approach to tap.

She ran her own school for over 25 years, taught at leading dance centres across Scotland, and has delivered workshops and lectures everywhere from the Royal Festival Hall to scout huts in Mablethorpe! Now retired from regular teaching, Susan continues to share her knowledge and passion through engaging talks at TapUK. We’re so pleased to welcome her back for 2026.

Simon and Anna Selmon bring their signature vintage style and infectious energy to TapUK, adding something a little different to the tap festival. As founders of SwingdanceUK, they’ve spent decades performing, teaching and sharing their love of swing, Lindy Hop and Charleston with dancers across the UK and beyond. 

​

At TapUK 2026, they’ll be leading their always popular workshops, welcoming dancers of all levels to explore the joy of swing. And due to popular demand, they’ll also be hosting our Sunday night 1920s Gatsby Party, where they’ll whisk us into the Roaring Twenties with Charleston steps, vintage glamour and plenty of sparkle. Get ready to dance the night away!​​

Angus Peters is a much-loved TapUK regular, known for bringing joy, energy and a Latin twist to the festival each year. Whether he’s teaching a salsa session or getting everyone moving with a cheeky cha cha, Angus’s classes are always packed with laughter, great music and infectious rhythm.

A passionate and experienced dance teacher, Angus has a gift for getting everyone on the floor – whether you’re a total beginner or just pretending you remember the steps from last year! His warm, welcoming style has made him a firm favourite in the Tappers community, and we’re thrilled to have him back for TapUK 2026.
